A quick note to say, sorry for the lack of content, I'm not very technological and I wrote all of these and then somehow deleted them before the page saved, so I'm in the process of rewriting everything slowly!

    May 2009:

The University are making changes to the academic year and the SU would like your input on what you think about your year.

Do you want a reading week but don't get one?

Are you a student parent who finds half term difficult with attending seminars and finding childcare? Do you hate the inflexible timetables?

Do you think your Easter holidays are too long or too short?
Would like a longer Christmas but a shorter Summer?

What about Freshers and welcome week, is it too early in September/too late, too late…let us know!

Send us all your comments to katurner@lincoln.ac.uk before Tuesday at 1pm, or alternatively reply on the Facebook group please if you'd like to have some input before the meeting with Dr Frances Mansakker, Pro Vice Chancellor at 2pm.

Its really important that you do get in contact and pass this on to other students because if changes are made, its no use complaining if nobody came forward with suggestions or comments.

    May 2009:
Starting to really get into Graduation Ball 2009 planning now, the academic side of the SU is slowing down now we're near the end of term so we're looking at Summer projects, Grad Ball, Freshers Week, consultation on the academic year and changes to be made. Grad Ball ticket sales are really good so we're starting to be able to book some entertainments and do the exciting planning things now!

    April 2009:
This month the SU took the new Student Reps proposal to the Student Experience Committee where it was approved and wholly backed by the University. The proposal was written by 2 current students and myself and is the process of a whole year's hard work, meetings, consulting with students and the University together, research, attending Reps Conference and spying on other Unions to see who does it best and if we can use a similar idea.

The proposal is here: files/Lincoln_Student_Reps___Final_Proposal.doc if you'd like to download and read it, make any comments etc, please either use the lil box at the bottom or email katurner@lincoln.ac.uk with stuff!
