* 73% of employers would employ candidates with volunteering experience over one who doesn't.
*94% of employers believe that volunteering can add to skills.
* 94% of employees who volunteered to learn new skills had benefited either by getting their first job, improving their salary, or being promoted.
Benefits of Volunteering to the Organisation
The Institute for Volunteering Research found that 'the economic Value of formal Volunteering has been calculated to be in the region of £40 billion per year' and that 'for every £1 volunteer involving organisation spend supporting volunteering they can expect a notional payback of up to 14 times that '
With the Community Volunteers Service organisations won't have to worry about financially supporting candidates as our HEAFC fund provides financial support to all candidates and can also fund any training requirements that an organisation may have for potential volunteers.
