► Set up a new Sport or Society
The aim of the Sports and Societies department is to bring together students with common interest and facilitate them in pursuing and hobby or activity they are interested with.
If you require any help feel free to contact the Societies and Activities officer or the Sports and Teams officer at sportsandsocieties@lincolnsu.com.
Creating a Club or Society
1. Find 15 potential students
You will need to find a minimum of 15 students who would want to join the club or society.
2. Form a committee
A committee should be formed to set membership prices and provide details of what activities the club or society will be involved with.
A New Club or Society form needs to be completed and returned to the SU Reception.
3. Go to council
A vote will be taken at the Sports & Societies Council to confirm whether the club or society may be formed.
4. Formed
If passed by the Sports & Socieites Council, the new club or society will officialy be formed.
There is limited funding for new teams in the first year of existance but the sports and societies office will do it's best with regards to finding training time and giving advice on funding.
