► How to join

As we are now official you can pop into the AU office opposite the library and ask at the desk to join the surfing society.  

To get to the AU Office, come out of the library and head towards the bridge.  Enter the Engine Shed and turn left up the stairs by the box office.  Follow the corridor around until you come to the SU sign which will be hanging from the ceiling.
 

Membership is £30. With this you will get insurance and will save £8 off every trip. However if you a non student you membership can be paid either on the day of surfing or when you pay your transport fee at one of our stations.

Costs to surf are £15 at our surfing stations (TRANSPORT FEE), and then £5 on the day. Non members pay extra £5. So you can try before you join fully if you wish.  Also if you get a wetsuit then you will save too making surfing as little as £17 per session, which is staggeringly amazing.

You will get winter wetsuit, board and tuition with one of our staff. We spend at least 2.5 hours in the sea.

If you have your own wetsuit you save £3 and if you a board you save another £4.

Due to the weather late November and December there will be low sea temperatures so optional further costs on the day may be necessary >> £1 for boots and gloves each.

We take money from 6.30 to 7.30 in the Engine Shed, Lower Tower Bar, every Thursday, unless our newsletter says anything different.
