    ► International Opportunities

Voluntering abroad can give you an amazing and rewarding time whilst experiencing cultures very differenet from here in the UK.

However here at Lincoln we cannot recommend any particular international volunteering opportunity or organisation that we are unable to verify the quality of the opportunities offered nor the integrity of the management of the organisation.

What we can do though is provide you with some links to various organistions that offer International opportunities - all we would advise is that you research the organisation and oppportunity fully before committing your time and/or money to it - all we want to do is make sure you have a safe and fulfilling experience.  If you have any questions about volunteering abroad and the sort of things to consider when making your choice do please get in touch with us.

We would recommend that you look at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website before deciding where to volunteer - http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/

(N.B. Jane from ULSU Volunteering took part in the People First International Village Experience in 2009 so I can endorse and tell you more about this opportunity. You'll find information about this opportunity on the "Community Based" volunteering page behind the International symbol)
