The theme of this year's Make a Difference Day was combating community isolation - as such we had staff & students involved in 2 volunteering days - on 1st November volunteers helped the Nomad Trust - a local charity supporting the homeless where we did some external painting & some gardening, and on 4th November we had volunteers making cards to send to seriously ill children through the Post Pals charity. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered with these events - we had great fun!

During May we had our Volunteer Celebration Week when everyone who had volunteered last year was invited into the volunteering office to collect a certificate and receive a small gift - pictured here are some of our students collecting their certificates

We've just had the SU Awards & Volunteering was one of ten categories that students were nominated in. Our 5 nominees were:

Our congratulations go to all the nominees - Here they are pictured with Jane Kilby, ULSU Volunteer Co-ordinator
